The Blue Mountains lie west of Sydney, and this is a rugged terrain of rainforests and tall mountain peaks. This is a World Heritage region with plenty of wildlife and different species of plant and animals that inhabit the place. The Blue Mountains is ideal for hikers, mountain climbers, and mountain bikers. Come and experience the great scenery up the mountains. You can also visit the Katoomba Scenic Railway for a great sightseeing adventure up the steepest funicular railway in the world.

In Australia’s eastern coast you can find Whitsunday Islands which consist of seventy four mostly inhabited islands. Rainforests and white sand beaches are a common sight in these islands. A few meters away from the Great Barrier Reef, these islands is a place of great landscapes and beautiful sunsets. You can taste their delicious seafood while yacht-watching at the Clipper Race Carnival.

Daintree Rainforest is a Unesco World Heritage site in the north east coast of Queensland. Here you find the largest tropical rainforest in Australia. The villages of the Kuku Yalanji people are like gems in this vast rainforest and is something to be marveled at. Here you can visit the Daintree Discovery Center with its aerial walkway. If you want some quiet time along the beautiful coast, visit the Mysall Beach.
