I have had so many conversations with people to explain the benefits that come with our regular quarterly service and been brushed off and they insist all they want to have a one-time treatment. I understand, trust me. Most people view me as a salesman on the telephone attempting to try to seel what is the most profitable for my Pest Control Company in Simi Valley. However, this is not true. I am attempting to not just solve the current problem that you have but also prevent you from needing to deal with the same exact problem in the future. If a customer insists on having a one-time service, then, of course, I will provide whatever service they ask for. What tends to happen more often than you might think is just as soon as we have their initial problem solved, they have other issues come up and they only want to have a one-time service again. After having two to three one-time services, they have ended up paying more for the one-time treatments compared to what it would cost for an entire year of protection from the regular quarterly services that we provide.
What happens is a customer will notice something. Spiders, for example. At that point, they just care about eliminating the spiders because they want them inside their house and they are scary. Customers often forget that spiders lay eggs. Those eggs cannot be penetrated by pesticides, so although a one-time service can eliminate the current problem, it won’t help with future problems that inevitable such when the eggs from the old spiders hatch.
